The starting point is located in Tarna, the last village before the Tarna mountain pass, which shares its name with the area. Here, next to the church, you will find the beginning of the route. We start by climbing a concrete track, leaving the village cemetery on our left. As we continue, we enter the forest, passing through the El Otero mountain pasture and ascending to a crossroads where signs point towards the waterfalls.
Following the PR trail markers, we cross beautiful wooden bridges over the Requexada stream, entering a picturesque forest, especially stunning in autumn when the leaves blanket the ground. As we descend, we catch our first views of the waterfall, passing through the Las Camponas mountain pastures and heading towards its base, crossing streams and stone paths along the way.
For the return journey, we recommend taking a different path to explore another section of the forest and pass through the charming Rebollau mountain pasture. We cross the Nalón River via a bridge and climb back towards the village of Tarna, following a path between forests and stone walls. Upon arriving back in the village, the bar next to the church awaits, offering the perfect place to relax after this hike.
